It is kind of ironic in a way that Promethea is a graphic novel, since so much of the story is about imagination, yet the reader is not given a chance to imagine what Immateria would be like to them. This is one of the few stories however, that I feel would be worse off without the images, because it would be impossible to completely understand the different Promethea's stories and their pasts without the images. So I think that Promethea is a good story as a graphic novel, but that it should never be made into a movie.

The Big Screen Isn't for Promethea
I was talking to my friend about superhero movies, and since we're reading Promethea I started wondering what it would be like if her story was made into a movie. I've always felt that when books get made into movies, it ruins the story in a way. It takes away the opportunity to imagine what is going on based on how you see the story. Since Promethea is a graphic novel, the pictures are all given to you, yet I still don't think it should be made into a movie. The images in the story are so in depth, so detailed, that you need to be able to stare at each page for a few minutes just to be able to take it all in. If it was made into a movie, every scene would have to be rushed through at the pace of the movie; there would be no chance to stare and try to make sense of all of the images given to you.
