I think Censorship ...This is a good point to raise. I think Censorship is necessary in certain cases, depending on the audience exposed to the songs. For instance on radio, and television censorship is important due to the fact that children are exposed to those outlets. And when I say censorship, I just mean curses, and explicit sexual references should be blocked. <br />As for rappers complaining about being censored, I think they are referring to a much deeper thing instead of the fact that the word high was blocked out. I think they were referring to the fact that people try to make them rap about things that don't expose the truth behind whats really going on in this country. People don't want to hear songs about what's going on in the "hoods" or "Ghettos" and these kinds of things are being blocked and censored. <br />But on another note, I don't think this is as much of an issue anymore, like how it was back then during the NWA times.
